Online learning what I need and want

Online learning

Online learning is essential for advancement for acquiring the appropriate skills to teach. Understanding how to navigate and where to find crucial resources to extend ones knowledge base will illuminate the outcome and help to advance my literacy skills.  Transitioning to the next level is my expectation of this class.  Novice to expert are stages in which nurses go through when they become clinical savvy; understanding the theory of why and how a disease process will overcome one’s immune system. I look at online learning theory the same; becoming an expert going through the different stages. I’m not a novice nor an expert, but in-between.

Blogging is new for me therefore I’m excited because now I have mastered another skill for online. Reading different articles will help to explain how to master the system. Collaborating with classmates on the discussion board will give a variety of viewpoints, which is necessary for objectivity.  Objectivity helps with diversity in which seeing others opinions will create curiosity to search the web for more data on whatever subject is being discussed.

Computer technology is essential at work, home and school for me.  I’m researching data and need advance skills to find the literature I need for writing. At work nurses have to use computers to chart, pass medications look up disease entities and document occurrences. Therefore I cannot take online learning lightly it’s essential for progress. I want to teach some online nursing classes therefore I need to know how to help others and become one who is labeled as a good online instructor.
